About Ann Wigmore
Ann Wigmore (1909 to 1994) was a Lithuanian-born natural-health pioneer widely known as the mother of living foods. Raised on her grandmother's folk-healing traditions, she developed the Living Foods Program built around wheatgrass juice, sprouts and fresh raw foods, and in 1963 founded the Hippocrates Health Institute in Boston. Her books, including The Wheatgrass Book, helped introduce raw living foods to people around the world.
